The Psychology of Next Generation

Throughout all stages of history, young people have been regarded as completely different than their older peers. Are young people today actually fundamentally different than young people in the past? Starting with the basic premise of the sociology of generations, we will talk about the changes in “Generation Z” that are independent of the process of aging itself: the sources of the changes (changed parenting philosophy, parenting as “risk management”, profoundly different early childhood socialization via digital communication and technology, the role of schools) as well as the effects of these changes in young people (changes brain wiring, values and motivations, resilience, attention, mental health).
