Simon has been obsessed with design for as long as he can remember. After gaining a degree in Illustration at Portsmouth University, back in the 90’s, he had a moment where he realised that what he put on paper made other people smile. It was a revelation. Being a creative in a creative industry is a real privilege, and one he has enjoyed for over 20 years. Running a successful agency gave him not only the opportunity to oversee the creation of truly beautiful work, it also allows him to prove that the companies who invest in design see a huge return on their investment. In recent years he has started speaking more and more on the tangible value of design, and other creative subjects. This has seen him hosting their own thought leadership events and speaking at venues all over the world, to audiences of over 1,000, at intimate breakfast workshops, and at prestigious industry events. As a published author and illustrator, it’s very important for him to keep practicing his art. He still draws and paints regularly and is constantly trying new techniques and mediums. He will always strive to create beautiful things. His design agency, Thursday is in Winchester, where he lives with his amazing wife Katy and their three wonderful children - Jess, Charlie and Lily. They have a silly dog called Fox and a wonderfully annoying cat called Rocket.
