Program
What is the hidden force that drives most of our behaviour inside and outside organisations?
Organisational culture is a powerful, tacit, and often unconscious set of forces that determine both individual and collective behaviour, ways of perceiving, thought patterns, and values. Although the tools and techniques may be present and the change strategy implemented with vigor, many efforts to improve organisational performance fail because the fundamental culture of the organisation—values, ways of thinking, managerial styles, paradigms, approaches to problem solving—remains the same.
Modifying organisational culture, in other words, is a key to the successful implementation of major improvement strategies as well as adaptation to the increasing turbulent environment faced by organisations.
Culture and leadership are two sides of the same coin: leaders reinforce and act as a part of the present culture, but often create new cultural elements.
